Our Insolvency Professionals
Stephanie joined Powell Associates Ltd in 2023 after beginning her career in the bankruptcy and insolvency career in 2018. She is currently taking the insolvency administrator’s course through the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP). She has a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and two bachelor degrees; one in Communication Studies and the other in Philosophy and Political Science.
David Moffatt entered the debt industry in 2015 after serving 7 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. He has assisted consumers and small businesses understand their debt relief options and assist them in implementing the option of their choice. David holds the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) designation. He believes in a practical approach to debt consolidation and understands that the decision is not always just about the dollars and cents.
Robert has been a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (formally known as a bankruptcy trustee) in bankruptcy since 1993. He is the founder of Powell Associates Ltd. Robert believes in a no-judgment approach to debt problems, no matter what brought an individual or business to our office. Robert is now semi-retired and works part-time in the practice. He is focused on practice management and assisting with more complex matters and corporate insolvencies.
Angela has worked in the insolvency industry since 2000. Through these years, she has become very adept in all aspects of insolvency administration and helping consumer debtors. Angela joined PAL in 2016 and became a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and a member of CAIRP in 2019 and became a Licensed Insolvency Trustee in 2021.
Besides a brief time away, Paul has worked with Powell Associates Ltd. since 2011 and was the firm’s first official employee. His commitment to excellence led him to obtain certifications as both a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee in 2013. Paul can expertly navigate the complexities of financial challenges faced by both individuals and corporations. Whether it's crafting strategies for debt management or devising restructuring plans, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
